AL 13 : Aerospace Control Systems
This issue of the international scientific journal edited by Onera is entitled "Design and Validation of Aerospace Control Systems: New Methods & Tools with Illustrations". Ten papers describe different very concrete aerospace applications.
This thirteenth issue of AerospaceLab is dedicated to the most recent techniques for design and validation of Aerospace Control Systems with a particular emphasis on Matlab-oriented tools and toolboxes together with realistic applications. While many fields of control theory (more specifically in the linear framework and its numerous extensions) have now reached a high level of maturity, the gap between theory and practice remains to be filled.
This is the common and ambitious goal of the ten papers of this issue where practical methods and tools are described for robust control design and analysis with a broad range of aerospace applications:
- aircraft autoland design
- satellite attitude control
- autopilot design for spin-stabilized projectiles
- stability analysis of fighter aircraft control systems
- LPV gain margin evaluation of a flutter suppression controller for a flexible aircraft
- PIO alleviation by anti-windup design
- structured control design for future European launchers
- safety margin evaluation of a flexible launcher
- stability analysis of large-scale aircraft models
