DGAC continues to support ONERA in its research on understanding and modeling the physics of icing and its effects on the various components of an aircraft. An agreement was signed on December 14, 2015.

DGAC granted ONERA two refundable advances totaling 4.450 M? under very favorable terms, for significant upgrades to its main wind tunnels.

The ALTAIR project is a European H2020 project coordinated by ONERA and involving partners from six countries. The goal is to demonstrate the industrial feasibility of a low-cost launching system for small satellites. This research program will last 36 months.
